TOKYO: Japan has decided to extend emergency grant aid worth 10 million dollars to the Philippines.
Japan's Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga said on Tuesday that Japan will provide relief supplies such as emergency shelters, food, water and hygiene products through international organizations, according to Japan's NHK WORLD website.
He said the government is considering providing more aid.
Super Typhoon Haiyan hit the Philippines on Friday and Saturday.
An estimated 10,000 people in central Philippine province of Leyte might have been killed. (QNA)
