DOHA: Ooredoo and QNB have announced an agreement under which Ooredoo will build a global connectivity solution to connect QNB’s Qatar headquarters with its overseas branches.
QNB continues to enhance its technological and communication infrastructure with the help of Ooredoo to provide seamless service to customers wherever they are.
With a presence in over 26 countries through its subsidiaries and associate companies, the diverse and robust solution will benefit QNB in terms of managing operations remotely from its headquarters. Ooredoo has worked with leading vendors to develop the solution, delivering the highest possible level of connectivity, security and speed to ensure swift and safe international transmission of data.
The solution deploys Ooredoo’s Global IPVPN service, which offers a fully-managed next generation private network using submarine and terrestrial cables, connecting major business destinations in over 100 countries.
“We use our network leadership to deliver an expanding range of innovative solutions for businesses of all sizes in Qatar. We are proud to be able to offer it to QNB to ensure that the bank’s offices and branches enjoy the same high standard of connectivity overseas as they do in Qatar,” said Mohammed Saleh Al Marri, (pictured) Chief Sales and Services Officer, Ooredoo.
“QNB is continuing to develop our services around the world, with new branches in new markets every year. We are deploying a world-class connectivity solution to enhance the management of our international operations, and have worked with Ooredoo to ensure that we have the support of the best partners at every phase of this solution’s development,” said Adel Ali Al Malki, General Manager, Group Information Technology, QNB.
