Qatar Stock index closes lower

Doha: Qatar Stock Exchange index was slightly down by 32.66 points, or 0.24 percent, when trading closed at 13,755.74 points yesterday.
The market capitalisation was down to QR743.67bn from QR744.56bn registered the previous session. All indices ended in the red yesterday, barring consumer goods and services, which was up 0.52 percent to close at 7,439.67 points, and the real estate sector was up 0.50 percent to 2,768.13 points. Insurance index declined the most, with 1.37 percent decline to end at 4,028.26 points followed by telecommunications sector, which was down 1.28 percent to 1,509.08 points.
The trading value decreased to QR870.84m  from QR902.58m on Monday. The volume rose to 14,285,139 shares from 9,069 transactions compared to 12,876,870 shares from 10,003 transactions on Monday.
From the 43 listed companies, shares of 24 declined and 19 made gains. QNB
