DOHA: Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar (VCU-Q) is hosting an Open House for prospective Master of Fine Arts students tonight at 6pm at Room 390 at VCU-Qatar.
The event is designed for students interested in learning about what it takes to earn a Master of Fine Arts degree in Design Studies from VCU-Qatar. The evening will begin with an introduction and presentation by the MFA faculty to be followed by a Q&A session with MFA faculty and graduate students in the programme as well as informal discussions.
In addition to providing information about the programme, faculty admissions staff will be available to discuss portfolio and other application details. Prospective students will also be taken on a tour of the state-of-the-art MFA design facilities that include a Media Lab, 3-D Fabrication Lab, General Library and the Materials Library.
Visitors will also have an opportunity to view current MFA student work on display as well as the MFA Thesis exhibition which showcases the work of the designers of VCU- Qatar’s Master of Fine Arts class of 2013. Thesis exhibition runs until January 17, 2013 in Room 380 at VCU-Qatar.
