Professional Sports Group, organisers of the Dolphin Energy Doha Dash, announced that the inaugural event will support Reach Out to Asia (Rota).
Rota operates as a non-governmental organisation within the framework of Qatar Foundation and seeks to extend its human development mission to an international arena by bringing high-quality primary and secondary education to the less fortunate across Asia.
On February 12, the first Dolphin Energy Doha Dash will take place at Losail International Circuit, in celebration of Qatar National Sport Day. The event is sponsored by Dolphin Energy Limited, which has offices in Doha and Abu Dhabi.
Reinforcing the concept of the Dolphin Energy Doha Dash as a true community sports event, organisers will pledge 25 percent of all registration fees to Rota.
The money raised from the Dolphin Energy Doha Dash will enable Rota to continue providing high quality primary and secondary education in crisis affected areas across Asia and around the world, especially directed to educational environmental projects as well as supporting Rota’s proactive community and youth programmes in Qatar.

“As well as the 25 percent fee automatically raised through registrations we are urging all participants to collect sponsorship donations from friends and family — every riyal counts.”
The Dolphin Energy Doha Dash aims to encourage a healthy lifestyle and costs QR100 to enter the 5km run and QR50 to enter the 3km run, while the 1km run for children and the 1km ladies walk is free.
