Wahm at the W Doha Hotel & Residences celebrated all things African, for its first ever ‘Afro Beats’ party. Guests mixed and mingled to the unique pairing of DJ talents Bruno Rocharte and DJ Kinky D, who provided a memorable evening of hypnotic sounds based around a fusion of traditional African music, jazz, highlife, funk and enchanting vocals.
As well as enjoying the incredible musical backdrop, guests were invited to retreat to the poolside cabanas, or a cozy, colourful cushion filled banquet inside where splashes of orange, burgundy, pink and yellow created a bold and playful backdrop that was reflective of the vibrant atmosphere. In an extra stylish twist, the hotel also screened a selection of abstract short films to underline the evocative nature of the performances and driving home the link between sight and sound.
