Qatar Photographic Society to hold ‘Simply Beautiful’ exhibition

Doha: Qatar Photographic Society will organise the National Geographic exhibition ‘Simply Beautiful’ in cooperation with Katara Cultural Village on Wednesday.
It will open at 7.15pm at the society’s headquarters in Katara. 
Meanwhile, the society announced the winners of the photography contest it organised by in cooperation with the Emiri Guard on the sidelines of National Day celebrations. 
Abdullah Nasser Al Tamimi won the first position, Ahmed Adnan Alberdena the second and Mohammed Ali Abdullah came third. 
Sixty-nine people participated in the competition, displaying 630 photographs concerning the subject of the contest which was ‘The Emiri Guard’ as part of the military parade during National Day celebrations.
The society organises specialised courses in the basics of photography, digital photography, portraits, still nature, processing and printing of coloured and black and white films, image processing, design, and editing images using Photoshop.
It also holds workshops and exhibitions. 
The society also organises an annual exhibition for its members and participates in exhibitions organised by others as well as World Press Photography exhibitions.
It contributes to the calendars of institutions with works of its members.
