Doha: The Qatari Labrtha Team won three trophies during the GCC finals of the Fazza Championships organised by the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Centre in Dubai.
It was the first time Qatar took part in the championships.
Saif Al Mohannady, head of technology in the team, said: “We managed to win first, second and third places in different categories.
“We are going home with three cups which is a real achievement for us in our first competition at the Fazza Championships,” he said in Dubai. “We thank Sheikh Hamdan for facilitating every element of the championship from bringing our falcons to the airport to the transparency of judges. There is no doubt that we will be participating again in the future.”
Some trophies were dedicated to Sheikh Hamdan and the committee members as a thank you note from the team and the people of Qatar.
The Saudi team won the Pure Horr Jinas and Pure Horr Farkh categories.
