To honour the grandparents, who provide worldly wisdom and share their life experience with the younger generation, MES celebrated Grandparents Day recently through the virtual platform.
The occasion began with a welcome dance by the tiny tots of Junior Wing conveying veneration and affection to their grandparents.
Hameeda Kadar, the principal, addressed the gathering and expressed gratitude towards all the grandparents for attending the event. She also emphasised the essentials that grandparents provide in abundance to their grand children. She accentuated the sweet relationship between grandparents and grand children.
Students of Grade 1 presented a fascinating action song that enthralled the audience. A video presentation titled ‘Grand parenting’ was dedicated to grandparents followed by a series of entertainment segments such as ‘Lil Grammy Grampy’, ‘Ramp Walk’, ‘Geeth Gaata Chal’ etc.
Both grandchildren as well as grandparents showcased their talents and shared their fond memories by way of expressing the most memorable and cheerful moments of their lives which left the audience mesmerised.
The members of the faculty displayed notes of gratitude on the screen as a mark of respect and tribute to the great storytellers. School officials, students, parents and grandparents attended the programme.
Sara Gigani welcomed the gathering and Naaela Imran Varshini proposed a vote of thanks. Fency Pathrose, teacher-in-charge of the programme, coordinated the event.
