Nicosia: Oman and Cyprus held on Wednesday the third round of political consultations between the two countries in Nicosia, Cyprus. It was co-chaired by Omani Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Diplomatic Affairs Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy and Secretary-General of Cyprus Ministry of Foreign Affairs Cornelius Cornelio.
During the consultations session, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and affirmed the keenness of the two sides to develop them in various fields, in addition to sharing the view points on a range of regional and international issues of common interest.
In addition, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding on the cooperation between the ministries of foreign affairs in the two countries in the fields of diplomatic studies and training.
Al Harthy also met with Cyprus Minister of Foreign Affairs Ioannis Kasoulidis and discussed topics that serve bilateral relations between the two countries.
