DOHA: HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ahmad bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud met on Wednesday with President of the Envirotrade Group Robin Birley and the accompanying delegation which includes Prince Michael of Kent, Mark Rose, the CEO of Fauna and Flora International (FFI); and Charles J. Hall, the chief executive of the Envirotrade Group.
During the meeting, the Envirotrade Group and Fauna and Flora International made a presentation on low environmental impact projects, which the companies seek to offer to the State of Qatar to implement them in Darfur and neighboring areas.
The projects cover the areas of agriculture and small industries. They aim at helping low-income families, revitalizing economic conditions in rural areas and providing employment opportunities and vocational training.
The meeting was attended by several officials at the Cabinet General Secretariat.
HE the Deputy Prime Minister meets US Ambassador
HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ahmad bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud met today with HE the US Ambassador to Qatar Susan Laila Ziadeh.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations as well as issues of mutual interest.
The meeting was attended by a number of officials from the Cabinet's General Secretariat. (QNA)
