Doha: The Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning yesterday celebrated the National Sport Day at Rumeilah Park, in the presence of Assistant Under-secretary for Planning Affairs Ali Abdulla Al Abdulla and a group of employees and their families.
The event featured a number of sports and games such as basketball and arrow throwing in addition to segments such as patriotic and children’s songs and magic shows.
Physical strength games, which were set up by the ministry’s Public Parks Department at several points on the Corniche, drew several participants.
Around 15 public parks in Doha held Sport Day events in cooperation with the Doha Municipality’s Public Parks Department.
