President of Supreme Judiciary Council meets Emirati delegation

Doha: President of the Supreme Judiciary Council and President of the Court of Cassation H E Dr. Hassan bin Lahdan Al Mohannadi (pictured) met with a judicial delegation from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Member of the Federal Supreme Court of the UAE H E Judge Juma Ibrahim Al Otaibi headed the Emirati delegation, which included a number of Federal Court judges and administrators. The visit comes within the framework of the programme of bilateral judicial review visits, which was adopted by the GCC council in 2022.

The Emirati delegation had a field visit to the courts of the Supreme Judiciary Council to learn about Qatar’s judiciary system experience, especially digital transformation in litigation procedures. 

The delegation also attended a presentation on the council’s experience in applying the National Address Law and its positive impact on reducing the litigation period.

The delegation will participate in several practical discussions with a number of Qatari judges to exchange the experiences of both sides and disseminate the successful ones.
