Doha: The State of Qatar has condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli occupation government's vote to legalize settlement outposts, and building new settlements, considering this step as a flagrant violation of the of the United Nations Charter, the principles of international law, and relevant United Nations resolutions, and a blatant assault on the rights of the brotherly Palestinian people.
In a statement on Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Qatar's deep concern that the repeated Israeli violations would undermine international efforts aimed at implementing the two-state solution, calling on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities to oblige Israel to stop its settlement policy in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's firm stance on the justice of the Palestinian cause, and the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, and the establishment of their independent state on the 1967 borders, with eastern Jerusalem as its capital.
