New Delhi: India has sought assistance from Britain following reports that organisations like Babbar Khalsa International and other Khalistani terror outfits are active there and are trying to revive Sikh militancy, parliament was informed yesterday.
“Government has conveyed its concerns to the UK authorities including during the recent India-UK Summit held in New Delhi. Both sides have agreed to enhance cooperation in this regard,” Minister of State for Home Affairs R P N Singh told the Lok Sabha in a written reply.
A close watch is maintained on the activities of various groups known to have been engaged in trying to foment terrorist activities in Punjab, he added.
