Jeddah: The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will participate in the Darfur Donor Conference to be held in Doha from April 7 to 8.
OIC said in a statement yesterday that its Secretary-General, Professor Ekmelddin Ihsan-Oglu, has received the invitation during his meeting with the Chairman of the Darfur Regional Authority Dr Tigani Sessi and the Minister of the Supreme Council for Investment, Dr Mustafa Osman Ismail, the State Minister at the Presidency of the Republic and Official of Darfur file, Dr Amin Hassan Omer.
They discussed arrangements for holding the conference. Ihsan-Oglu has confirmed the OIC commitment to participate effectively at the Donors Conference.
