Doha Academy bags impressive IGCSE, IAS results

Doha: Doha Academy has had yet another round of fantastic International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and International Accreditation Service (IAS) results in January this year. 

“All the students have done amazingly well, and we are very proud of their achievements that have surpassed the previous results," said Doha Academy in a statement. 

Highlights for IGCSE’s are 83% of the grades were 7-9 (A-A*) for Biology, 89% of the grades were 7-9 (A-A*) for Chemistry, 88% of the grades were 7-9 (A-A*) for Physics and 62% of the grades were 7-9 (A-A*) for mathematics. 16 students attained these grades.

For AS students, an astounding 33 set of results were all at A grades in the following subjects Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry, and Arabic. The most noted student was Gana Mohammed El Madhi who attained three A grades in AS Biology, Mathematics, Chemistry.

Doha Academy is an independent, privately owned school in Doha since September 2000. It is open to students aged 3 – 18 or Kindergarten to Year 13, and follows the National Curriculum of England. 

The school prepares students for the IGCSE Cambridge International Examinations, alongside those from EDEXCEL examination board too, at Year 11. The majority of students then continue to Year 12 to successfully complete A-Level examinations. The school is part of Al Faleh Educational Holding and is founded by Dr. Sheikha Aisha bint Faleh Al Thani.
