The first edition of Katara’s African Festival offers original and authentic multi-art exhibitions promoting masks, jewellery, photos, handicrafts, paintings, instruments and wood sculptures, all representing different African countries and cultures. Several artistic workshops enable the audience to learn how to make unique African masks and do pottery painting. Several cooks served well-known African dishes. A big stage was set up for street artists and music bands. The performers present African shows such as La Hadhra, Malouf, Gnawa, Mezwed and Stambali, among others. The festival ends today.
