MANILA:  The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has sent notices to the entire senatorial slate of the administration’s Team PNoy for their unlawful campaign materials.
The United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) candidates and a number of party-list groups were also sent notices.
Based on a list released by the Commission on Elections, Quezon Representative Juan Edgardo Angara had the most notices with five.
In the notices, the poll body asked candidates to remove within three days their propaganda materials that were either posted outside the common poster areas or are not within the required poster size limit of two feet by three feet.
Failure to comply with the notice will result in a preliminary investigation of candidates to determine if they are liable for election offense.
Violation of Commission on Elections rules  is punishable with up to six years in jail, suspension of rights to vote and disqualification from running for public office.
If a candidate who violated the rule had already been proclaimed and assumed office, the Commission on Elections said they could be unseated.                                                           THE PHILIPPINE STAR
