Doha: More than 100 people donated blood at the Mobile Blood Bank Unit of HMC arranged at the site of free medical camp, yesterday.
One of the main objectives of the camp was to promote health awareness among the expatriate community in Qatar. The health awareness lectures organised on the sidelines of the medical camp attracted hundreds of audience.
There were four lectures delivered by doctors on various health problems. Dr Biju Gafoor spoke on “Health Problems of Expatriates”, Dr M M Abdul Kareem delievered a lecture on “Healthy Eating Habits” while Dr Anup Shankaranarayan and Dr Raju Abraham spoke on ‘Mental Stress, Distress and Depression” and ‘Kidney Stone and Urinary Tract Infection’ respectively.
In an exclusive session for ladies, Dr Sujatha Krishnakumar spoke of “Cancer in Women — Symptoms, Diagnosis and Treatment.”
