DOHA: The Youth Company is organising its biannual Public Speaking Session today, from 2pm to 5pm at the Al Riwaq Doha exhibition space.
The event, which targets 100 youth in Qatar aged 14 to 25, is part of The Youth Company’s YOU-Training Program which focuses on ensuring personal growth of young people by providing quality-training sessions on soft and hard skills.
“We are proud to launch the biannual Public Speaking session for the youth of Qatar. The Youth Company is currently under the process of expansion in Algeria, Morocco and other countries in the Gulf region,” said Aya Abu Issa, Acting CEO of The Youth Company.
He added: “Our vision is the empowerment of youth in the Middle East and Africa. I believe we are moving ahead strongly in fulfilling our goals. Lastly I’m very grateful for the continuous support of the community and our sponsors in helping us develop and grow.”
The session will focus in teaching the youth on how to create a plan for a public speech, showing them past influential speeches, helping them improvise their points, building their confidence, sharing youth related success stories, and making the them experience a public speech in front of a live audience of 100 people.
“Public Speaking is an important skill to acquire for the empowerment of the youth’s personal and professional life,” said Mohammed Farid, Marketing and Events Manager of Qatar Olympic & Sports Museum and Founder/Chairman of The Youth Company, who is going to deliver the session.
