DOHA: UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, who is in Doha for the 13th United Nations Crime Congress, visited Katara yesterday. He was received by Katara General Manager Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti.
They toured facilities at Cultural Village and Dr Al Sulaiti briefed Ban on its activities, events and future projects. Ban also visited Al Gannas Association headquarters at Katara where he was briefed about the national heritage of falconry and the association’s activities and initiatives.
He also toured shops in the Katara cultural market.
