Filipinos seeking medical and other forms of assistance from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) will soon experience a speedier processing of faster filing of their requests as the PCSO runs its “ASAP” (At Source Ang Processing) Program.
PCSO General Manager Jose Ferdinand M. Rojas II, the acting chairman, made this assurance recently.
He said the speeding up of applicants’ requests for the agency’s flagship Individual Medical Assistance Program (IMAP) will soon be carried out as the PCSO makes its services more accessible to more Filipinos across the country.
Rojas said the Help Desk, which will “serve as a point of access” to the IMAP is under the PCSO Charity Sector headed by Assistant General Manager Dr. Larry R. Cedro, through its Charity Assistance Department (CAD) in turn headed by Manage Rubin Z. Magno.
The objective, he said, is to shorten through PCSO Help Desks in some hospitals the process that applicants have to go through when they request for financial assistance for medical and healthcare related concerns.
Rojas, also the agency’s vice chairman of the Board of Directors, said IMAP’s coverage includes hospitalization and surgeries, treatments such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy and dialysis, laboratory and diagnostic procedures, medical devices and implants, among others.
