Over 1,500 benefit from 3rd Haddathna programme

Doha: Over 1,500 people including students from 44 countries have benefited from 3rd Haddathna (reciting prophetic traditions) programme of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.

The six-day programme organised by the General Endowments Department at the Ministry in coordination with Religious Call and Guidance Department on education platform of the Ministry.

The Haddathna programme, which lasted for six days from the 15th to the 20th of Ramadan, from 9pm until 11.30pm, included reciting the book Al Adab Al Mufrad by Imam Muhammad bin Ismail Al-Bukhari on a number of Sheikhs with chain of Hadith.

Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Ghanem Al Thani, Director of General Endowments Department, who participated in the programme as a commentator and recite said that programme was about hearing prophetic traditions and Hadith book with chain of narration. Dr. Sheikh Khalid said that Imam Bukhari’s book Al Adab Al Mufrad and a number of parts of it, such as his belief, the creation of the deeds of the servants, and the righteousness of parents, have been sealed with the chain of transmission related to him.

He noted that this blessed book, which is of great importance, was singled out by Imam Al Bukhari as a separate book from the book of literature included in the Sahih of Imam Al Bukhari.

Dr. Sheikh Khalid emphasised that the book Adab Al Mufrad is one of the great books, which Sheikh Fadlallah Al Jilani explained it in his book Fadlallah Al Samad and after it the works continued on this blessed book, whether with explanation, or care with its chains of narration, or its additions, and others.

The Haddathna programme comes within the endowment fund’s programmes to serve the Qur’an and Sunnah, which aims to raise awareness of the purposes of the holy Qur’an and the noble Prophet’s (PBUH) Sunnah and their rulings, and to support and encourage those working in the service of the Qur’an and Sunnah, in addition to spreading the Holy Qur’an and its sciences, mastering its recitation, translating its meanings into other languages, and publishing books Sunnah and its sciences.
