QR1.14bn real estate deals last week

DOHA: The combined value of transactions in Qatar’s real estate sector last week (April 28 to May 2) stood at QR1.14bn, up 41.7 percent compared to QR807.2m previous week due to return of exceptional grand deals, especially in Doha Municipality, according to the weakly report of Ezdan Holding Group. 

The average value of daily transactions was about QR228.8m compared to QR161.4m in the previous week.

The report expected that real estate transactions will continue its recovery during the coming weeks, especially in the sector of plots with trend of real estate investors and developers towards making more new real estate projects.

The value of Doha Municipality, which acquired 37.9 percent of the total transactions reached to QR433m registering a rise of 13.7 percent compared to QR305.6m in the previous week.

The value of the top deal in Doha Municipality was QR46.3m as a result of a deal for a shop in Fereej bin Omran with an area of 2,391 square metres. The Peninsula
