Doha: Domasco hosted Malaysian Ambassador  Ahmad Jazri Mohammed Johar to its head office and flagship Proton showroom. He was welcomed by Faisal Sharif, Managing Director, Domasco, who gave the ambassador a tour of the showroom and the parent company before settling down to discussions of mutual interest.
Proton, which is a Malay acronym for Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional Sendirian Berhad (National Automobile Company Private Limited), is the most visible Malaysian export in the world. Established in 1983, the company operates in more than 25 countries.
The Ambassador expressed his happiness and satisfaction at seeing a state-of-the-art showroom dedicated to the Malaysian brand and was impressed with Proton’s sales performance in Qatar since the brand was taken over by Domasco in 2010.
Faisal Sharif said: “We are delighted and honoured to have the ambassador visit our facilities as it strengthens the already powerful bond between Domasco and Proton, as well as the Malaysian government.”
“We hope to continue this friendship long into the future,” he added.
