San Diego: The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change received the Special Achievement in GIS (SAG) Award, presented by the American ESRI Institute, the global market leader in geographic information systems (GIS), during its international conference for geographical information system, held in San Diego, US from July 10-14.
The ministry's delegation participating in the conference received the award for the best special achievement in geographic information systems (GIS) after the site of the Al Reem Protected Area won the best site, outperforming more than 100,000 institutions around the world, as the award is awarded to user sites all over the world in recognition of the outstanding work using the GIS technology.
