Riyadh: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jassim Mohamed Al Budaiwi expressed his strong condemnation and denunciation of the statements made by the Israeli Prime Minister regarding the annexation of parts of the territories of sovereign Arab states.
He considered this a flagrant violation of the UN Charter and international law, and a blatant attack on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states.
Al Budaiwi stressed that such dangerous statements and plans pose a direct threat to regional and international security and stability, and clearly reveal the dangerous approach pursued by the occupying forces.
He affirmed the GCC states' categorical rejection of any attempts to undermine the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of Arab states.
The Secretary-General called on the international community to assume its responsibilities and take a firm stance to halt these provocative statements and plans, and to work to protect the region from any measures that would inflame tensions and undermine the chances of achieving a just and comprehensive peace.
