Doha: Doha Bank won the “Bank of the Year Award” at this year’s Arabian Business Qatar Awards at Grand Hyatt, Doha, Qatar. Khalid Al Namma, Head of Public Sector, Doha Bank, received the award on behalf of the Bank.
Dr R Seetharaman, CEO of Doha Bank said: “Doha Bank has demonstrated historically stable performance and strong earnings growth. It has a high net interest margin of 2.61 percent in June 2015 which is high in relation to competitors. It has a high return on shareholders equity of 18.4 percent in June 2015, maintained amongst competitors and shareholders consistently rewarded with high cash dividend. It also has a high return on assets of 2.03 percent in June 2015. Doha Bank has a leading market position in contract financing based on strong relationships through Doha Bank’s representative offices. In this year Doha Bank has completed amalgamation of two new branches in India and inaugurated South Africa Operations this year.”
