Ambassador of Malaysia to H E Faizal Razali hosted a luncheon on September 10, 2026 to bid farewell to Ambassador of Republic of Türkiye to the State of Qatar H E Dr. Mehmet Mustafa Göksu and to welcome Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Qatar H E Pensom Lertsithichai. The luncheon was also attended by Asean Ambassadors in Doha. There are seven Asean member countries based in Doha namely Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, The Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. Turkiye was granted Asean Dialogue Partner status in July 2026.
