Qatar fell to a 76-65 defeat against Jordan in their second Group B match of the Asian Games men’s basketball competition at the Aichi International Arena yesterday.
Jordan led 19-14 after the first quarter and extended their advantage to 42-30 at half-time before taking a 64-49 lead into the final quarter. Qatar fought back in the fourth, winning the period 16-12, but could not close the gap.
The result leaves Qatar with one win and one defeat ahead of their final group match against Chinese Taipei.
