The Ninth Edition of ‘Milipol Qatar 2012’ which began here on October 8 concluded yesterday with deals worth millions of riyals have been inked. The event is held every two years — in Doha and Paris, alternately.
The last edition of the coveted internal security show was held in Paris in 2010.
The event is dedicated to internal security and all kinds of innovative products and services are on display.
A highlight of the event is that it does not only witness a large turnout of public security personnel, technology experts and scientists but also attracts members of the general public who are keen to keep abreast of the latest technology.
A section of the event is always devoted to guns, pistols, revolvers and rifles of all kinds. This year too, the section that showcased guns, pistols, rifles and revolvers was a major hit with the visitors.
Some 265 companies from as many as 38 countries from around the world took part in the show, with at least 10 major players from the UK topping the list.
