DOHA: The Grand Hyatt Doha and Qatar Cancer Society yesterday jointly organised the “Run For Cure” in support of the “Global Breast Cancer Awareness Month”.
The run started at Grand Hyatt Doha from the Jaula Spa entrance at 6pm towards the hotel gardens, beach and back.
Commenting on the event, Sheikh Khalid bin Jabor Al Thani, Chairman of Qatar Cancer Society, said: “The Qatar Cancer Society realised the importance of this initiative and what it represents to cancer patients and their families. We thank the Grand Hyatt Doha for supporting this noble cause and wish the ongoing efforts would achieve the goals set forth.”
“The Run is an integral part of an active health and community awareness strategy aimed by the Grand Hyatt Doha hotel. The event showed a wonderful social gathering, and an opportunity for people to give back to the community,” said Garry Friend, General Manager of the Grand Hyatt Doha. The Qatar Cancer Society was founded with the sole purpose of combating cancer and raising awareness of preventive measures, early detection, treatment and survival.
