Doha, Qatar: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has described the opening of the 55th annual session of the Shura Council as an important national occasion to reflect on Qatar’s journey, review its achievements and assess the challenges it faces.
Following the opening of the annual session of the Shura Council on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, the Amir wrote this in a social media post.
"Qatar looks to the future with confidence. Its determination to build the nation and safeguard its people's gains remains unwavering," the Amir said.
The Amir added that Qatar's firmly established approach is based on investing in people, defending its sovereignty, and upholding dialogue and diplomatic solutions.
