KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysians are advised to postpone or avoid visiting Syria following the worsening security situation there.
Malaysian Foreign Minister AnifahAman said his ministry was worried about the security situation in Syria, which was getting worse, and would continue to monitor the situation there, according to Malaysian News Agency (Bernama).
"By taking into account the current situation and Travel Advisory dated July 21, 2012, the ministry once again urges all citizens to postpone or avoid visiting Syria at the present moment," he said in a statement.
He said the Malaysian Embassy in Damascus closed in July, still remained closed. (QNA)
