DOHA: Part of Al Kinana Street and Qatari Bin Al Fujaah Street branching from C-Ring Road at Al Kinana signal will remain closed from tomorrow, the Public Works Authority — Ashghal — has said.
The closure is part of the fourth phase of C-Ring Road project works and will last two weeks. It will extend for about 350 meters on each of the streets in both directions, as part of widening Qatari Bin Al Fujaah and Al Kinana streets with additional lanes.
Access to shops on both streets will be available, and motorists will be able to reach car wash and car repair shops on Qatari Bin Al Fujaah Street through designated accesses through the street, whereas cars can park in the back of the shops on Al Kinana Street.
Occupants of residential buildings affected by the closure will need to park cars in the backstreets in the area during the closure, Ashghal said.
Meanwhile, Ashghal has realigned access to and from Celebration Road from Dukhan Highway. The diversion will be in place for about 12 months with 80kph speed limit. It is part of ongoing work on Dukhan Highway – Central and to complete works on the new interchange near Al Rayyan Club on Dukhan Road (known as Rawdat Rashed Interchange).
