DOHA: The tests for both male and female memorisers of the Holy Qur’an as part of the 30th Sheikh Jassim bin Muhammad bin Thani Noble Qur’an Competition under the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs will commence today, with 901 citizens of both genders registered to participate, Awqaf said in a statement.
Tests for female citizens will commence Thursday and male citizens on Monday.
Tests will commence at 2:30 p.m, with 535 female citizens to participate across the five competition categories, which include memorising the first or last sections of the Holy Qur’an (5, 10, 15, 20, 25 juz’).
