Doha: The Qatar Faculty of Islamic Studies (QFIS) at Hamad bin Khalifa University has denied a report carried by The Peninsula on Tuesday about Ilyasah Shabazz, daughter of Malcolm X, saying Shabazz is seeking support from Qatar for a documentary on her father. Her current visit to Qatar is not connected with the documentary project, the QFIS clarified yesterday. QFIS hosted a lecture by Shabaaz at the Education City on Sunday.
