Doha: Aspire Zone Foundation’s (AZF) commitment to provide outstanding facilities and services has been recognised by Business Destinations magazine, which awarded Aspire Zone the ‘Best Meetings and Conference Centre’ in the Middle East for 2012.
A self-contained conference and entertainment complex, Aspire Zone was recognised by the magazine for its ability to host a diverse range of conferences, as well as manage international sports events.
The zone hosted a multitude of events in 2012, including the inaugural Doha GOALS Forum which welcomed global leaders from the sports industry, the third edition of the annual ASPIRE4SPORT Congress and Exhibition, Cirque Du Soleil which performed its signature show Saltimbanco to a sold-out audience, and a youth leadership workshop for the United Nations Office for Sport and Development for Peace.
“AZF is honoured to receive this recognition for the best meetings and conference centre in the Middle East,” said Aspire Logistics Director General Abdulaziz Al Mahmoud.
“The award is in recognition not only for the outstanding facilities at Aspire, but also the comprehensive list of services that are offered to event organisers.
“Aspire Zone caters not only for world class sports events and training, it also provides a truly unique business destination for a range of activities and this award provides an opportunity for an insight into the flexibility of the zone as a world class event destination,” he added.
AZF continues to prove that it is the ultimate sports destination, offering a world-class infrastructure, boasting international-standard services and hosting global sports events. Over the last few years, Aspire Zone has won a medley of awards, including international certificates in Facilities Management presented to Aspire Logistics and AZF being voted the World’s Leading Sports Tourism Development Project for 2011 by World Travel Awards.
