​8 jump into river to evade arrest

Islamabad: At least eight people including women and children jumped into River Indus during a police raid to avoid arrest.
According to details available here, Police launched a joint crackdown in a suburban village of Kashmore to arrest proclaimed offenders who were involved in robberies at Indus Highway, According to Dunya news.
According to police sources, three women and four children were among those who jumped into the river while dead body of a ten-year-old child was recovered from the river.
The sources added that police claimed that a proclaimed offender and his two accomplices had killed Thul police constable a month ago and the raid was carried out to arrest them. 
Three Afghan rebels killed
Kabul: Three militants from Taliban were killed yesterday and two other injured during a joint military operation between the Afghan forces and The International Security Assistance Force (ISAF).
The operations took place in several areas across Afghanistan. The joint forces also managed to dismantle 17 improvised explosive devices (IED). The Afghani Ministry of Interior said in a statement issued yesterday. 
The statement did not comment on the number of casualties on ISAF and the Afghani security’s side. 
ISAF is a Nato-led security mission in Afghanistan that was established by the United Nations Security Council in December 2001 by Resolution 1386.
