Kahramaa female Qatari engineers take part in leadership workshop

DOHA: Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) yesterday organised a motivational session for female Qatari engineers to enhance their professional and leadership skills.
The session was conducted by Bashayar Al Awwad, a globally renowned professional, according to a statement.
The event was in line with Kahramaa’s corporate objective to attract, develop and retain a high-performing workforce and support Qatarisation.
Al Awwad, Vice-President,  World Federation of Engineering Organization, (WFEO) and Chairwoman, WFEO’s ‘Women in Engineering’ Standing Committee, highlighted key points which would help participants overcome challenges they may face in their professional life.
The four-hour event was attended by a large number of Qatari female engineers from various departments.
Before the session, several directors and managers also addressed the engineers about the session.
The programme focused on supporting the engineers in creating an environment where they feel supported and encouraged in their personality development endeavours, enabling simultaneously to deliver high-quality output within a healthy work environment.
Nasser Al Mohannadi, Corporate Services Director,  said: “Kahramaa has set out plans to inculcate the culture of excellence and continuous professional and personality development in its Qatari talents and ensure the application of the standards of corporate excellence in all operations at all organisational levels.” The Peninsula
