Pope Francis greets an elderly woman in Madhu, a former war zone in northern Sri Lanka, yesterday. The Pope reiterated his call for reconciliation by canonising the country’s first saint, calling 17th century missionary Joseph Vaz a model for national unity. The Pope is due to arrive in the Philippines today.
