Doha: MES Indian School celebrated Grandparents’ Day in honour of grandparents, who provide worldly wisdom, create great memories and leave a legacy for the younger generation to emulate.

Grandparents are acclaimed as the voices of the past and the door to the future, great storytellers and the composers of melodic lullabies. To dedicate a day with unforgettable memories to these legacy holders, an astonishing Grandparents’ Day was celebrated by the school Management, Principal, and staff on Jan 9.

The programme began with a welcome dance by the students of the Junior Section conveying veneration and affection to their grandparents. Dr. Hameeda Kadar, the Principal, addressed the gathering and expressed gratitude to all the grandparents for guiding the young generation with an abundance of love and affection.

The Junior Choir presented a melodious song. The day’s programme included ‘Selfies with Grandparents’, a video presentation dedicated to grandparents followed by entertainment items. ‘ The luckiest grandparent' was chosen and honoured with prizes.
