DOHA: LuLu Hypermarket Group in their stride to promote sports culture and widen the scope of community participation joined hands with Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) to celebrate the National Sport Day, a press statement issued by LuLu said yesterday.
Apart from a host of sport-related activities, LuLu, following the advice of QOC, had set up a stall at the Sports Zone displaying of a wide range of organic, fat-free, gluten-free, free range, speciality food and healthy choice products to promote healthy food habits among people.
H E Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Secretary General of Qatar Olympic Committee, during his visit to the Sports Zone, visited LuLu Stall and appreciated the efforts taken by them. Besides, 30 kiosks were set by them at different locations to serve apple, banana and water to the participants and visitors.
Mohamed Althaf, Regional Director of LuLu Hypermarket Group, along with other LuLu officials had participated actively in the marathon on the Corniche.
