ISLAMABAD: Pakistani police and security forces shot dead six militants including four suicide bombers in retaliation after scores of insurgents stormed a police station on Thursday morning, (Geo News) reported.
According to official sources, armed militants stormed Miryan police station in Bannu thinking the cops must be sleeping on the job, however, a valiant counterattack dashed their hopes and at least six attackers were killed.
A security official has also been injured in the attack.
The sources further said some insurgents were still present in the police station and exchange of fire between the two sides is continuing. (QNA)
