Katara welcomed more than 300,000 visitors during the National Sport Day celebrations. The visitors from various nationalities enjoyed more than 83 sports and sports-related activities organised by over 35 government and sports bodies.
Katara General Manager Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti expressed happiness about the success of the celebrations. “The huge turnout confirms Katara as a major destination in the Gulf providing a plethora of cultural activities and entertainment with world-class facilities,” he said.
