DOHA: Public health authorities have barred health sector workers from being deputed by their employers to another healthcare facility. Workers can, however, be shifted from one medical facility to another permanently provided the necessary approvals are in place, a decision issued by the Supreme Council of Health (SCH) says. Deputations within the healthcare sector are temporary transfers of workers, which the SCH has banned. The Council has also said that no healthcare provider can ink a contract with a company to provide its services unless the company has a licence to provide those services.
