Doha: DPS-Modern Indian School (DPS_MIS) recently conducted a two-day DPS-Model United Nations or DPS-MUN Qatar 2022 conference virtually themed “Preservation, Persistence and Peace.”

This year’s conference marking the third edition is aimed to encourage fruitful discussions, increasing solidarity amongst the youth, and raising awareness on issues outside the immediate bubble of being. MUN is an educational simulation in which students can learn about diplomacy, international relations, and the United Nations. At a MUN conference, students work as the representative of a country, organisation, or person, and must solve a problem with other delegates from around the world.

Deepashree Sarma, Principal of Alagar Public School in Tuticorin graced the event where she delivered a speech motivating the delegates, chairs and members of the executive to strive for a better world. Meanwhile, Principal Asna Nafees, Vice Principal of the senior secondary school, Soma Bhattacharjee and Vice- Principal of the secondary school, Mary Cruz, provided the students with great pearls of wisdom to encourage their journey further.

The event was concluded with an award ceremony honoring the best delegates in each committee and a vote of thanks.
