DOHA: A young student of a private school suffered serious head injuries after he was hit with a bottle by a housemaid, a local Arabic daily reported yesterday. The incident happened in the school on Tuesday. Faisal Nasser Al Madeed was taken to hospital, where he was given several stitches on the head.
The Supreme Education Council (SEC) is investigating the incident,, the daily said.
The SEC had called the father of the child and assured him that it will take necessary action against the school, since it was responsible for the safety of students.
Several housemaids can be seen waiting in the school everyday. They come to drop off and pick up children, said the daily.
