Doha: Qatar Airways is adding Al Hofuf in Saudi Arabia to its increasing list of destinations.
It recently increased frequencies to two of its destinations in Saudi Arabia.
“We remain committed to opening up access to new destinations in the Middle East and around the world. As we continue to expand our network and receive more aircraft, we will keep looking at opportunities to add capacity to our network and further strengthen our links within the Gulf,” said Akbar Al Baker, CEO. There will be four flights per week to Al Hofuf from May 15. Strong passenger demand has prompted the airline to double its weekly flight frequency to Gassim, while flights to Madinah were recently increased from five to seven per week.
The additional destination of Al Hofuf, through Al Ahsa Airport, is further proof of increasing consumer and business demand on these popular Saudi routes.
Al Hofuf route will be operated with an Airbus A320 in a two-class configuration of 12 seats in Business Class and 132 in Economy Class. The aircraft features seatback TV screens, providing passengers in both cabins with the next generation interactive on board entertainment systems.
Increases in frequency on the other two routes will provide business and leisure passengers to all three destinations with more flexibility and greater choice to connect onto QA’s extensive global network covering six continents.
